Last month I had a few baby showers to go to and these were what I made for the moms-to-be.  I was pretty happy with how they turned out.

Ethan LOVES balloons.  We can't go anywhere without him finding them and pointing at it till we finally break down and buy him one.  He will walk around with it all day.  It is pretty cheap entertainment.
The other day Dave took him for a walk around our neighborhood.  They stopped by an open house (Dave loves to go into houses that we can't afford and just "check them out") and the realtor gave Ethan this balloon.  He was very pleased with his new "toy" and happy to show it to me when they got home.

It's the little things.

Chatterbox

Lately the kids have been talking (well, their version of talking) up a storm.  Last night I was able to capture a little bit from both.  It is hilarious to me how serious they can be as they spout out all this gibberish.  As you can see, Addie is really into reading to us and Ethan is just into yelling stuff at us.

The kids favorite game

Smartypants

I'm trying to teach the kiddos to say their "please" and "thank-yous".  Sometimes the only way that I can get them to do it is to bribe them with something that they want, like in this case, ice cream.  She is too cute when she signs and says "pease, pease."

Smartypants!

Dave

I do love this man, so much.

He is a good husband and a great father.  He makes me laugh when I need it, helpful when I need him to be, and most importantly is just an all around good guy.  I don't say it enough, but he truly is the love of my life and I am grateful for him everyday (well, most days).  Just kidding honey!  I love you.
As I write this Dave took the "where should you live quiz" on facebook and his quiz came back with the answer that he should live in the country.  This is funny because just two minutes ago I took the quiz and it came back as I should live in New York City.  Can't get more different than that!

We aren't always a perfect match for each other, and we definitely have our differences, but we laugh through it all.  And for us, that's all we need.

Hint, hint

This was my subtle attempt at asking Dave to send me flowers.  Every time I do get flowers from Dave, he complains to me later that they cost way too much.  I keep telling him that even though the gesture was nice, it ruins it when he complains about it later.  So, I thought that cutting out some coupons for some pretty cheap bouquets along with a nice note taped to our kitchen cabinets would do the trick, but needless to say that didn't work either.

He did find it pretty funny though.

I'm still waiting...
