Mini Dave

There are so many things that I love about my kiddos.  One of them is how much they make me laugh.  Ethan especially!  He is just like Dave.  He loves to goof off and get a laugh out of you.  If he even catches me watching him, he will start smiling and giggling at me.  He just loves to make others smile, even if that means being silly to get it.  I hope that he never changes that about himself!

Twin bond

Having twins and watching their bond strengthen has been so fun over this last year.  Lots of people told me how neat it is when they start talking in their own little language to each other, or when they start to help each other with all the little tasks during the day, but I feel like I am just starting to experience it.  A few months ago, they started making each other laugh.  Dave and I cannot get the same kind of belly laugh that they can get from each other.  And just this week I have really noticed how they will seek each other out during the day just to give kisses to each other.  Ethan walked over to Addie tonight, took her face in his hands, and planted a huge kiss on her mouth.  Then he just started to giggle and play with her hair.  They only give kisses to us on very rare occasions, but with each other, they can't get enough.  This week Addie has been sick, and Ethan is so gentle with her.  If either one of them is crying in another room, the other will try to get to them.  I can tell that they don't like being apart from one another and when they are, they are always looking around for the other to show up.  It is just really sweet to see that bond between them.  I feel like they know each other better than I know them.  I'm not sure if it's this way with all siblings or if it really is a "twin thing" but I am loving watching it.  Even though this last year has been so hard (over worked and under appreciated...you know how it goes), I love my little family.  I never thought that I would say this, but if we hadn't had to go through in vitro, we wouldn't have two at once, and I am so grateful that we do.  I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world (well, maybe I'd consider it for a full nights sleep).

Beautiful Family

I got a chance to look at our family reunion pics again, and I just have to say what a good-looking family I have.  Every time I look at these pictures I remember how much fun we had together.  How much fun we always have together.  I love you all!

Only 48 days to go!

I LOVE Christmas.  I know that some people get stressed out about it and don't like talking about it till December, but I don't care!  I love it!  I was so excited to see that they have Christmas stuff out in all the stores.  I love it, I love it, I love it!!!  I have to go to Target now and see what new Christmas decorations they have.  See you later!

The Afterparty

So, Halloween night, after we put all the kids to bed, the adults had some good 'ol white trash fun.  I had been bugging Dave all night to put on his mullet wig for us.  Well, after he did, everybody else decided to take it for a spin.  I have never laughed so hard.  Enjoy!

It looks a little too realistic on Dave.

Trey misses having hair of his own.

My Dad!

And Eryn, who can actually make a mullet look cute!  Not fair!

It's a zoo over here!!!

Halloween was so much fun this year.  We had the family and some friends over for spaghetti and some homemade donuts (courtesy of my Mom), and then took the kids around the cul-de-sac treat-or-treating.  Addison was a monkey and Ethan was an elephant.  Addie hated having her hat on and was constantly pulling at it, so these are as many pics of her as I could get.  Ethan, on the other hand, didn't mind his costume at all, which I found hilarious, cause the ears were as big as his head!  I'm not even sure that he could see with it on, but he didn't care.  That kid cracks me up.

We tried to get all the kiddos to sit on the couch for a photo.  I'm sure you can guess how well that went.  The little ones actually did o.k.  It was the older kids that didn't want anything to do with it and started to cry.  Garret was a dinosaur, Olivia was Tinkerbell, and Cade was a golfer.

We thought we should take the kids out trick-or-treating early so that they were still in good moods, but no one had their porch lights on.  This was the only house in our cul-de-sac that answered the door.  Next year we'll have to go to a different neighborhood.  Or go a little later.

I heart Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the colors, the weather, and the fact that the holidays are here!  This year has been really fun cause the kids are old enough to take out and about more and they get to dress up for Halloween (pics coming soon).  I also love to decorate the house with all things fall-like.

Our front porch
We took the kids to the pumpkin patch last week with Trey, Eryn, Cade, and Eryn's Mom, Jan.  The kids loved crawling around on the ground with all the pumpkins.  We picked up two more big ones for the porch.

Eryn and I have an ongoing joke that we would love to set these two up (Addison and Cade) when they get older.  But, the more these two are together, the more we think it may actually come true.  They love each other!  We put them in the same cart at the produce store, and they couldn't stop smiling and giving kisses to each other.  So cute!
