Hey, hey, hey...Goodbye!

Yesterday I said bu-buy to this thing.  I sold it on Craigslist for $200!  I think that is actually more than what I paid for it 4 years ago!  Can I get a whoop-whoop?!!

I have new plans for this space now.  More to come on that later...

We have a ton of projects going on here at the house (more on those later).  Here is just a little one that was bugging me.

 

I love this star in our entryway, but I didn't love how it blended in with the paint.  I would eventually love to paint our walls a different color, but since that will be awhile, I decided to get creative.

$6 shutters from Camas Antiques that I sprayed painted black and viola!  Now I love it.

Rebecca and I took the kids to Cannon Beach one day a few weeks back when it was in the 90's.  Although her and I were EXHAUSTED when we got home, the kids had a blast.  

Well it wouldn't be a complete success until Addie has a meltdown.

Let me just start this by saying that my brother, Jim is the BEST.  He and his fam were in town for our family camping trip and I mentioned to him that I wanted him to come over to my house one day and help me design a new "look" for my mantel and then I could do the rest my self.  He agreed (which was so nice).  But then he ended up coming over to my house and doing the WHOLE THING in one day! 

It is more than I could have imagined.  I love it!  I really can't believe how awesome it looks and I don't think I will ever be able to tell him how much it means to me that he did this for us.
